The Mariano Rivera Foundation is dedicated to creating a reality where each child is afforded an opportunity to see beyond their circumstances, and discover new ways to confidently create a better life.

About Mariano

Mariano Rivera was raised in Puerto Caimito, Panama, growing up playing baseball with his friends. The obstacles he faced both as a child and as he entered his baseball career helped to shape his approach to life. Through commitment and perseverance, he developed skills and virtues that would become keys to his success, contributing to one of the most successful careers in Major League Baseball, and the only player ever to be unanimously selected to the Hall of Fame. 

At the Mariano Rivera Foundation, theirwork is dedicated to providing children from impoverished families with life skills that will set them on the path to a brighter future.Founded in 1998 by Mariano and Clara Rivera, along with several caring volunteers and generous donors they have strengthened communities and changed lives through college scholarships, back-to- school events and disaster relief. With access to STEM learning opportunities, mentorship programs, life skills and vocational training, students are prepared for college and empowered to enter the workforce with determination to succeed in high-demand positions.
